Meet Our Five $1,000 Grant Recipients
Emfy Health Inc.
Founder: Ifeyinwa (Ify) Inoma
Location: Halton Region, Ontario
Emfy Health brings specialized care to patients who can’t easily get to a clinic. Founded by Ifeyinwa (Ify) Inoma, a Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence – a designation still rare across Canada – the mobile practice treats wounds, ostomies, continence issues, and diabetic foot conditions in homes, retirement residences, and long-term care across Halton Region and surrounding communities. Ify brings 12 years of nursing experience to every visit. She’d invest $10,000 in new clinical equipment to expand into underserved communities.
Dragonfly Spirit CreeAtions Ltd.
Founder: Monique Collins
Location: Treaty 6 Territory, Alberta
Dragonfly Spirit CreeAtions is an Indigenous-owned cultural tourism and wellness business built on the belief that culture is meant to be shared. Founded by Monique Collins, a Cree Knowledge Keeper with family roots in Peepeekisis Cree Nation in Treaty 4, it offers drum and rattle building, medicine bag workshops, tipi experiences, plant medicine teachings, and Moon gatherings from Treaty 6 territory in Alberta. People leave with a teaching, not just something they made. She’d invest $10,000 in an online store, materials, and event displays to reach people beyond in-person workshops.
Since 2023, we’ve awarded more than $160,000 in grants to Canadian small businesses.

About the Zensurance Small Business Grant
The Zensurance Small Business Grant program is open to all Canadian* entrepreneurs, startups, and small business owners.
* Excluding Quebec, Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut
To be eligible to receive a grant, entrants must complete the grant application form, get a free insurance quote, follow one of our social media channels, and be an operational company registered in Canada with annual revenue that does not exceed $1 million — only one entry per business.

A shortlist of 6 finalists will be announced on September 22, 2026.
The public may vote on which of the 6 finalists should receive a $10,000 grant from September to 22-29, 2026 (so get active on social media, tag us, and encourage your customers and friends to vote!).
The $10,000 business grant recipient will be announced on October 1, 2026, at 9 p.m. ET. The other five finalists will each receive a $1,000 grant.
